Dynamo-Purge Unused Views (for Revit 20 : 22)
$5.00
Clean your Revit file in minutes. This Dynamo tool finds views you’re not using and lets you tick the ones you want to remove. Views are grouped (Plans, Sections, Elevations, etc.). Click Delete Views and you’re done.
Description
It is compatible with Revit 2020 to 2022.
What this tool does
Over time, Revit projects collect extra views you don’t use anymore. They slow things down and bloat the file size.
This tool shows you a clear list of those unused views so you can remove them safely.
Why you’ll like it
Easy: Just tick boxes and press Delete Views.
Organized: Views are grouped by type (Plans, Sections, Elevations…).
Safe by default: It doesn’t touch sheets, the default {3D} view, or view templates.
Faster files: Removing clutter helps reduce file size and can speed up your project.
How it works (3 steps)
Open your project in Revit and run the Dynamo script.
A window appears with groups (Plans, Sections, Elevations…). Tick what you don’t need.
You can tick items one by one, Select All, or Select All (this group).
Click Delete Views. That’s it.
What you’ll see on screen
Groups: Floor Plans, Sections, Elevations, Drafting Views, Legends, etc.
Tick boxes: Pick exactly what to remove.
Two buttons: Delete Views to clean up, Close to exit with no changes.
A small banner: Created By www.mahelak.com
What it will NOT delete
Views placed on Sheets
The default {3D} view
View Templates
(So you won’t accidentally remove key project items.)
Helpful tips
Make a backup before big cleanups (good practice for any project).
Do a quick review group by group; remove obvious leftovers first.
If you make a mistake, use Undo straight away.
